A graphic novel seriesthat follows the adventures of movie lover Lola and the charismatic Poppi, a girl and her calico cat. While working her (what Lola would call boring) movie theatre job, she stumbles across Poppi hiding under the seats amidst the popcorn and gummy bears. Shortly after that, they begin to do life together and the mundane seems to become cinematic.
approach
Poppi is an ode to makeshift, imperfect, playful(and maybe childish) little doodles and ideas that are often tossed aside. These stories are paired with goofy illustrative characters and require the reader to surrender to the unlikeley reality of it all. What silly little storys to enjoy.
